By Jonathan London
When mother tiger is out on the hunt, a small tiger is separated by a forest fire. This book is a winner for rich language and rich illustrations cloaked in a simple adventure!
Although written in prose, the imagery and metaphors make it quite poetic in form. It is nonfiction in that the paintings and story-line are true to life. To be enjoyed for its artwork, mild suspense, and lyrical language. If you are teaching writing, this book would be an excellent example even at the high school level.
