Max Goes to the Space Station

By Jeffrey Bennett

This is a pretty cool book for kids (and adults like me) who are completely ignorant of what scientists are doing in outer space! A simple story that is accurate down to the smallest detail, it aims to whet your child’s appetite for space travel. The story about the dog can be understood and enjoyed by four-eight year olds, but each page has a side bar of relevant (difficult) information given in a clear way that also directs older kids to further learning opportunities. There are, apparently, two other books in the series: the sequel “Max Goes to the Moon” and “Max Goes to Mars.”
